Now is a Great Time to Be a Member of the IUPAT

The IUPAT in Ontario has been very busy these past few months! We’re very excited about our new building headquarters and each day, we are coming closer to the opening, which is slated for late summer 2014. Additionally, we’ve been working tirelessly to stay on top of the changes in the political arena and efforts to keep Tim Hudak from taking office. And, we’re pleased to be able to announce the new infrastructure projects coming to the Greater Toronto Area and other cities across Ontario that will bring new jobs for our Union members. If you haven’t been following these developments through the Union Resources Pages on our website or through our videos on YouTube, make sure you take time to review each of those.

Besides our blog, we use these resources to keep you informed on the latest happenings within our organization. We also publish a quarterly newsletter and pass valuable information to you through your union representatives. There is also a new texting service for which you may now sign up for messaging. Those messages will provide you with alerts regarding announcements, job postings and more.

By utilizing all of these tools, we aim to keep you informed the best and most effective ways we can. We want you to be in the know and feel confident in voicing your opinions and getting involved. It is because of each one of our members, that we are one of the best known and most successful unions in Ontario. We are strong because of you. We encourage you to get involved, whether politically or in other ways. Recruit others and tell them why being a union member has been so rewarding for you. Share our resources so that we can educate others too.
