Toronto IUPAT to Hold General Meeting for DC46 Members to Discuss Pensions for Those in Painters Union, Drywall Union, Etc.
Anyone who has joined any union like the IUPAT eventually has questions regarding his or her pension. This isn’t unusual; in fact, it’s to be expected. Pensions are a topic that is involved, and can seem complicated to those uninitiated to the process. That’s the reason why the IUPAT in Toronto is holding a special general meeting of members of DC46 to discuss pensions.
On Saturday, May 30, 2015, we will talk about several issues surrounding this subject. Many of these have been based on questions that the IUPAT hears frequently, such as:
- How exactly do pensions work?
- What are my options for pensions?
- How will I someday receive my pension?
- How do I qualify to earn a pension?
Each of these inquiries will be part of the conversation between the membership and benefit plan professionals. A presentation will be followed by a Q&A session.
The general meeting begins at 9:00 a.m. and will be held at 132 Toro Road, Union Hall on the first floor. Coffee will be served, and members are invited to bring their spouses to this event.
Registration is not required, but if you have any questions, contact our office at (416) 630-9604.
