The team at Lung Cancer Canada (Canada’s only national charity focused on lung cancer) is looking for your input. Part of their role is to support public funding for drugs that treat lung cancer. Currently Avastin is being considered for pleural mesothelioma.

The IUPAT, in conjunction with the Heart Stroke Foundation, invites you to participate in a 15 km Memorial Bike Ride for Dermot Lynch on Saturday, August 24, 2013. If you weren’t able to meet Dermot, he was a longtime Glaziers Representative for Local 1819. He was a stand-out guy to many of us and unfortunately, passed away last year.
Union negotiations for the IUPAT have come to a close, bringing in a better wage package for Union members as well as better working conditions. A focus has been placed on education classes as the forecast for skilled trades job continues to trend upward bringing hope to those who have been waiting in the wings.
