DC 17 Calgary is looking for any journeyman (2) and or apprentices (3) who would like to relocate to Canmore, Alberta. A company out West is looking for some qualified personnel. On our last ratification vote, you, our members, rejected the proposal on the table. Therefore, on June 20th we will be meeting with a conciliation officer. Once this meeting is over, we will have a better idea of whether we will have a new offer to bring back to you or if we are on strike. Please check our website and our Facebook page for updates, as well as your union representative for more information.
There has been no new negotiations since the last ratification vote. We will be going to arbitration on June 20th. By law, we are required to go back to work on Thursday, June 16th. The arbitrator’s decision is final and when he makes that decision, you will be notified. Please check our website and Facebook for further information, or you can contact your representative.
De Novo Treatment Centre would like to invite all De Novo Alumni, Family, Union Members and Board of Directors for a barbeque celebration of Recovery, Strength and Hope. It will take place on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 279 Adams Road, Sundridge ON, P0A 1Z0. Lunch will be served at 12:30 PM, and Alumni speakers will follow at 2 PM. Please bring a lawn chair.
After a province wide vote, the members have rejected the last proposal from the AGMCA. Please watch for updates or call your local representatives.
We continue to strike. The results were as follows: 278 members rejected the proposal, 118 members accepted the proposal, 3 ballots were spoiled. We will continue to keep you informed of updates!
After a province wide vote for our Residential Drywall Finishers, we continue to strike. The results were as follows: 232 members rejected the proposal with 140 members accepting the proposal.
