Is It Time to Visit a Dentist in North York?

When was the last time you visited a dentist? Has it been more than nine months? Dentists recommend that you make and keep appointments to get your teeth and gums checked and cleaned annually. The good news is that if you are behind on your dental visits, or you don’t have a family dentist, the IUPAT and Union Health and Dental Centre can help! The Union Health and Dental Centre is actively accepting patients for their dentist in North York, on 130 Toro Road beside the IUPAT office. Call them today to set up an appointment, and get all the benefits of regular dental care for you and your family.

The History of Union Health and Dental Centre

As an IUPAT member, you probably heard about the opening of the Health Centre next to the headquarters, but you might not have realized that you could easily make an appointment without a referral. The doors at the dental centre opened in September 2015, and although they’ve helped many IUPAT workers, their partners and their children, they are open to assisting many more!

At the facility, they have five dental operatories and staff two dentists and one hygienist. They excel in providing oral healthcare to the public, as well as to union members. (This means you can refer them to your non-union friends, neighbours and loved ones!) They frequently perform all types of services, including general dentistry, pediatric (children’s) dentistry, cosmetic dentistry (including Invisalign® clear braces and other orthodontics), dental implantation, denture placements and Therapeutic BOTOX®. Have a fear of the dentist? They also offer oral sedation dentistry.

Advantages of Systematic Dental Care

Many people forget that the mouth is a part of the body. When things go wrong with your teeth and gums, they affect your entire system. For instance, research has shown a direct link between dental conditions such as gum disease and heart problems, high blood pressure, stroke, diabetes and cancer.

Giving a dentist a chance to thoroughly examine your mouth might just be the most important thing you do for your health this year. Plus, if you have kids, it’s an excellent decision to have them visit the dentist when they are young. They love seeing children, and enjoy making their visits as comfortable as possible so they feel great keeping their appointments.

Don’t wait until tomorrow to give the dental centre a phone call and come for your first visit. It only takes a few minutes, and you’ll be gaining the benefit of wellness and peace of mind.

Contact us for more information today, and a union representative will get back to you shortly.
