Member To Remember Initiative Update 10/26/2009



The Member to Remember Campaign

As a Union there are expectations from our members and as an organization to help not only our members but our community. The Member to Remember campaign, lead by District Council 46 BR Bruno Mandic does just that. One of our leading projects is the work by volunteers at the Keswick Presbyterian Church. It is a credit to all the support received by the Council representatives and members to help out with this project.

Remember, points are awarded to those who participate in the Member to Remember projects. Great prizes will be awarded to those who volunteer their time. You can help by contacting Bruno at 416-630-9604.

MEMBER’S ACTIVIST COMMITTEE (MAC) - MEMBER TO REMEMBER CAMPAIGN   

District Council 46 is about to embark on a membership activist campaign. This will be exclusive to DC 46 members in all local unions
throughout Ontario. It is a reward program that is popular in many district councils throughout the U.S. The program is meant to accomplish a few things;

  • Reward members for their good work in the community
  • Reward members for charitable contribution of their time
  • Reward members who assist in organizing campaigns
  • Reward members involved in Council sanctioned picketing
  • Reward members for involvement in political campaigns


I have only mentioned a few possibilities for our members to have an opportunity to win some prizes for their contribution to programs and events sponsored by District Council 46.
It is the goal of the Council with this program and other programs being implemented that more participation of the membership occurs with the intent to search out new leaders to our Union.
